Family Weekend

Join us for Family Weekend on Sept. 20-22, 2024!

Family Weekend is a great time to hang out with your family and have fun around town with events at WSU and in Winona.

2024 Scheduled Events
From athletics games to river cruises to live entertainment, there’s plenty to keep you busy this weekend.

Many events are free, while some require tickets or other entry fees.

Friday

Dinner

Jack Kane Dining Hall | 4:30-7pm

Students can use their Dining Dollars for their family members.

Otherwise, dinner costs $11.65 per person.

Mississippi River Cruise on the Cal Fremling

Levee Park | 6pm

Tickets are required.

Enjoy a beautiful 60-minute scenic cruise down the Mississippi River aboard WSU’s Cal Fremling.

Water and snacks will be provided. Main cabin has heating and cooling capabilities.

Family Weekend Bingo

Kryzsko Ballroom | 8pm

Enjoy a classic Winona State night of bingo. We’ll host games until we’ve distributed all prizes.

You can also roast a s’more at the Kryzsko Commons Fire Feature Patio.

Saturday

Welcome & Brunch

Kryzsko Ballroom | 10am

Tickets are required.

Each registration for WSU Family Weekend includes brunch, a University welcome, and a photo booth with a branded magnet frame.

Warrior Gameday Experience

Johnson St. | 11am-1pm

You can participate in Warrior Gameday Experience without registering for Family Weekend registration or buying football tickets.

Mississippi River Cruise on the Cal Fremling

Levee Park | 9am, 10:30am, 1pm, 2:30pm, 4pm, 5:30pm

Tickets are required.

Enjoy a beautiful 60-minute scenic cruise down the Mississippi River aboard WSU’s Cal Fremling.

Water and snacks will be provided. Main cabin has heating and cooling capabilities.

The Great DuBois

Kryzsko Ballroom | 6pm and 8pm

Tickets are required.

A fast-paced, high-energy circus show for all ages, showcasing incredible feats of juggling, hula hoops, unicycle, aerial, circus stunts, contortion, magic, and audience interaction all wrapped up in a blanket of comedy.

Simply put: the most unique 2-person circus show you’ll ever see!

Recently featured in Hugh Jackman’s hit movie, “The Greatest Showman,” The Great DuBois have amassed an impressive list of credits, including the Tony Award-winning “Pippin” on Broadway, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Late Night with David Letterman,” Britney Spears World Circus Tour, and the movie “Burlesque,” to highlight just a few.

The award-winning combination of Michael DuBois and Viktoria Grimmy have 5 generations of circus performing between them, a spectacular theatrical set for proscenium stages. They have performed countless shows at theatres, universities, cruise ships, fairs and festivals all over the world.

WSU Bookstore

Stop by the WSU Bookstore to get your WSU gear and show your Warrior Pride.

The WSU Bookstore is located in the lower level of Kryzsko Commons and will be open on Friday and Saturday of Family Weekend.

You can rent canoes, kayaks, sit-on-top kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, and bikes from the Lake Lodge located on Lake Winona.
