Minnesota State Policy 1B.1 provides that "No person shall be discriminated against in the terms and conditions of employment, personnel practices, or access to and participation in, programs, services, and activities with regard to race, sex, color, creed, religion, age, national origin, disability, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. In addition, discrimination in employment based on familial status or membership in a local commission as defined by law is prohibited."
Filing a Complaint
Discrimination & Harassment Complaint Form (PDF) is available online.
Although not required, it is requested that the Complainant print and complete the complaint form to report instances/complaints of discrimination or harassment. The completion of this form will assist in the expediency of the report and its resolution. Completed forms may be taken to the Office of Affirmative Action/Equity and Legal Affairs located in 202 Somsen Hall.
All complaints received verbally or in writing will be handled in a
timely and appropriate manner in accordance with the Minnesota State
1B.1.1 Investigative Procedure.
On campus and off campus resources are available to those who wish to file a complaint. In addition to the internal complaint process, you may also file a complaint with the following organizations:
