November 20 @ 12:30 pm 2:00 pm

Join Ben Orlin, author of “Math with Bad Drawings,” for a presentation titled, “The Unlikely Friendship of Math and Science.”

In this talk, Orlin will explore how these 2 disciplines work together, why their partnership works so well, and how even the most “useless”-sounding mathematics often become the key to real-world discoveries.

This event is free and open to the public. It is also sponsored by the Department of Mathematics & Statistics.
