Marketing Department

The field of marketing offers a wide variety of interesting, challenging, and fulfilling career options. We’ll provide you with the tools and resources you need to be successful, no matter which direction you choose to follow.

You’ll learn how to create, communicate, capture, and deliver value to clients. You’ll also be able to manage relationships between businesses and clients in a way that benefits both parties.

Rigorous Program

The Department of Marketing offers 3 undergraduate programs that have a progressive curriculum. The coursework integrates relevant hands-on experiences and state-of-the-art technology.

For 9 years in a row, the Sales Education Foundation (SEF) has ranked WSU among sales programs in the U.S. with the best job placement rates.

We also recommend students participate in an internship during their time at WSU. Internships are unique real-world opportunities for you to apply what you learn in class and expand your skills.

Student Connections

There are several active clubs for students who want to dive into marketing, business, and other related areas beyond the classroom.

You can also join the WSU Sales Team—and we’ve got a great track record. Just this past year, our team won the overall championship at Salisbury University’s National Shore Sales Challenge in Maryland.

Qualified Faculty

Our faculty have extensive experience and education as well as close ties with regional businesses and organizations. And they’re ready to share it all with you.

They are committed to helping you build the skills you need to become a successful marketing professional. From leadership to teamwork skills, they will provide you with an education to prepare you for your career.

To our faculty, you’re more than just a number.
