We believe teachers advocate for children’s learning, respond to their needs, and reflect on their own practices. We also believe teachers are continual learners and are committed to their profession.
The WSU Early Childhood & Elementary Education Department offers 4 majors for students who want to make a difference in students’ lives:
- Elementary Education (K-grade 6)
- Elementary Education with Early Childhood Emphasis (birth-grade 6)
- Early Childhood Education (birth-grade 3)
We also offer a variety of minors that concentrate on reading, communication arts, math, science, and social studies.
