Physical Education & Sport Science Department

The Physical Education & Sport Science (PESS) Department prepares students to become physical education teachers and coaches. 

Through both traditional and experiential methods, faculty give students a well-rounded education to ensure they succeed in their post-graduate careers.

We offer a variety of academic programs, from undergraduate majors and minors to graduate licensures and certificates.

Winona State has unveiled a new 45-foot high ropes course, enhancing the university’s commitment to outdoor and adventure education. This facility serves as both an academic resource and a center for physical wellness that promotes personal growth and development.
