Elevating Learning with High Ropes Course
Winona State has unveiled a new 45-foot high ropes course, enhancing the university’s commitment to outdoor and adventure education. This facility serves as both an academic resource and a center for physical wellness that promotes personal growth and development.

Reaching New Heights
At Winona State, Dr. Eric Barnard leads the Adventure Education minor, where students learn to guide activities like ice climbing and canoeing. His efforts give WSU students real-world skills and certifications, preparing them for careers in outdoor leadership.

Climbing without Limits
Winona State partnered with Paradox Sports to train PESS students and staff on how to support climbers with disabilities. This rare hands-on training has prepared WSU students to lead inclusive programs in their future careers.
