Undergraduate Programs
Majors
With the Physical Education (Teaching) major, you’ll be prepared to become a physical education teacher for students in K–grade 12.
You’ll also learn how to provide learning experiences in a variety of physical education settings.

Combine your passions for physical activity and leadership with the Sport Leadership major.
This program will prepare you to become a coach, athletic administrator, aquatic instructor, and other physical activity guide within traditional and adventure sports settings.
This is a non-teaching degree, meaning you will not be certified to teach Physical Education courses to students in K–grade 12.

Minors
Make a difference in the lives of students with disabilities in grades Pre-K-12 as a physical education teacher.

As an Adventure Education minor, you’ll experience the best of outdoor recreation between the bluffs and the Mississippi River while learning how to bring adventures into your own future classroom.
In the Coaching minor, you’ll learn coaching techniques to help players in a wide range of school sports teams and youth programs succeed.
