Law (3+3) Program

Students wishing to attend Mitchell Hamline School of Law can select this major.

Students must complete 3 years of courses at WSU and be admitted to the Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Then, they may forego their final year of work at WSU. Instead, their first-year courses at MHSL will count toward the completion of a BS from Winona State.

Therefore, successful students would receive a BS from WSU and a J.D. from Mitchell Hamline in 6 years instead of 7.

Interested students should speak to the Director of Legal Studies early in their WSU career and apply for admission to the 3+3 program.
