Devann Harris '24

Devann faced a serious accident during her first year at Winona State but didn’t let it stop her.

With help from advisors and summer classes, she not only caught up but also graduated with degrees in both Psychology and Biology.

Afrini Hossain '24

Afrini came from Dhaka, Bangladesh, to study Psychology with a Human Resources Management minor at Winona State.

She overcame language and cultural challenges, becoming a leader in student groups and helping new international students feel at home.

Tasha Adams '23

Tasha overcame mental health challenges in high school, earned her GED, and pursued a degree in Psychology at Winona State.

Thanks to the strong support she received from professors and a welcoming campus, she’s now heading to graduate school for marriage and family therapy.

Jasmine Juarez-Flores '23

At Winona State, Jasmine discovered her voice and passion for mental health advocacy through her Psychology degree and leadership roles, like president of the Student Organization of Latinos.

Her experiences, including an impactful internship, prepared her for graduate school in Los Angeles to study culture’s role in mental health.

Graduation Requirement

Aside from major- or minor-specific requirements, you’ll need to complete additional requirements through the General Education Program (GEP) to earn your degree from Winona State University.
