Athletic Training Master of Science
Beginning the summer of 2019 Winona State University will offer a two-year Masters of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) Program for students who have completed, or will complete by the MSAT start date, a bachelor’s degree and all program requirements. This option allows students to complete the professional graduate program in Athletic Training, including all courses and clinical education requirements necessary to become a certified athletic trainer.
Students within this option should apply for the WSU MSAT graduate program during the fall semester of their final year of undergraduate work. With admission to the MSAT program students will begin graduate coursework during the following summer session. Upon completion of the graduate program students will be eligible to sit for the Board of Certification (BOC) exam. View the MSAT Curriculum and Progression (PDF) Form for more information.
The first cohort of graduate students will be accepted during the fall 2018 semester, with the professional phase of the program beginning during the summer 2019 semester.
