Lambda Pi Eta Faculty Advisor
I grew up in Casper, Wyoming which is a beautiful place with striking mountains, wild plains and everything in between. I love to snowboard and cross-country ski in the winter; in the summer, I could spend all day playing tennis or pickle ball, hiking, biking, or just relaxing on my front porch with my wonderful husband and two fluffy cats. I attended school at the University of Wyoming in Laramie where I also taught public speaking as a graduate student. My husband and I were married in 2014 and my little family moved to Winona in 2015 where I join the WSU faculty.
My goal as an instructor is to create an inclusive environment where everyone can speak passionately about their interests, attitudes, beliefs, and values. I hope to foster competency in communication skills as well as instill confidence in my students. My own graduate work focused on the use of social media in health communication, but I also have enjoy studying self-perception, disclosure, and communication in interpersonal relationships.
