Academic Integrity

Academic integrity is a key component of WSU’s policies. We require that all students perform their academic work with honesty, representing their personal efforts and acknowledging the contributions of others.

Social Media Participation

Social media platforms are an engaging place where our Winona State community can connect with each other, share thoughts, ideas, and resources. It’s also a place where potential students can learn more about our campus culture and about one another.

To keep our social sites lively, interesting, and welcoming, we ask that content shared on Winona State social channels is relevant to our WSU community and that all participants comply with our participation guidelines.

  • Comment or share helpful information
  • Engage with Winona State content
  • Send us ideas on topics to highlight

Prohibited content or actions include:

  • Solicitations of commerce
  • Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity
  • Comments in support of or opposition to political campaigns or ballot measures
  • Comments that WSU deems threatening to the health or safety of any individual or group
  • Comments that are obscene, or otherwise injurious or illegal
  • Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party

Student Conduct

WSU prioritizes the safety and well-being of members of the university community. Student Conduct Policies ensure that all students uphold both the academic and personal standards that come along with being a part of the WSU community.  

A violation of any WSU Conduct Policy may result in the student being referred to the University’s conduct system, regardless of any action taken by civil authorities.

Members of the university community are subject to all state, county, and municipal laws/ordinances regulating the sale and use of alcoholic beverages and illegal substances, as well as WSU regulations pertaining to the same.

Office of the Dean of Students 

The Office of the Dean of Students coordinates services to enhance student success and serves as a strong student advocate. The Dean of Students is a campus leader responsible for: 

  • maintaining a safe, inclusive campus 
  • managing the University’s conduct processes 
  • promoting student rights and responsibilities
