Graduate Assistantships

WSU-Rochester provides learning opportunities as a graduate assistant in Education and Nursing for students admitted into those programs. Depending on the type or position and department you work for, the job responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting professors through tasks such as preparing lectures, teaching a class or grading tests
  • Conducting research, such as library research, laboratory experiments, or computer programming and analysis
  • Providing administrative assistance such as acquiring and interpreting data, attending seminars and working on special projects

Graduate assistants receive bi-weekly paychecks and tuition reimbursement as compensation. The number of hours worked per week varies on position and hiring department.
