Nhia Yang

Dr. Nhia Yang was raised in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Master of Science in Higher Education: College Student Development & Administration from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. He subsequently completed his Doctorate in Higher Education Administration at St. Cloud State University.

Dr. Yang is a proud alumnus and full beneficiary of the federally funded TRIO Student Support Services program, which has informed his ongoing commitment to advancing access, equity, and student success in higher education. He currently serves as the Program Director for Student Support Services & Disability Student Support Services at Winona State University.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Dr. Yang is actively engaged in community service. In his leisure time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as tennis, golf, bow hunting, and fishing.
