Sustainability House

The Sustainability House is located next to Main Campus and across the street from Maxwell Hall and the Integrated Wellness Complex.

The Sustainability House offers a unique and engaging living option where students have the independence of off-campus living with the convenience and support of living on-campus.

The price of renting a room is all inclusive, meaning you do not have to pay extra for internet, utilities, garbage, or laundry.

The Sustainability House is only available to upper-level or transfer students who identify as female. First-year students are not eligible.

Room Options
The Sustainability House is laid out like a family home with private rooms for each resident.

Students are not required to be on a meal plan.

Room Features
Every room in the Sustainability House comes fully furnished, including the shared common spaces.

Amenities

The kitchen in the WSU Sustainability House with fridges, sinks, stoves, and a dining nook.

There is a full kitchen with 2 fridges, 2 stovetops, 2 ovens, 2 microwaves and a dishwasher.

There’s also plenty of cupboards for extra storage and counterspace for food preparation.

Students should bring their own kitchen equipment.

The living room in the WSU Sustainability House with couches, a wall-mounted tv, and coffee table.

Students can relax together in the furnished living room as well as a lounge on the upper floor.

They can also enjoy the enclosed front porch during the spring and fall.

There is a study room with a printer where students can focus on their academics with quiet and comfort.

The laundry room in the WSU Sustainability House with a washer, dryer, and storage shelves.

The Sustainability House has it’s own washer and dryer.

There are 3 community bathrooms shared between the residents.

24/7 Security
Only students living in the Sustainability House can use their IDs to enter the building.

Students from other residence halls or off-campus guests must have a resident escort them to and from the house when visiting.

While there isn’t a RA or front desk area in the Sustainability House, students can get support from the East Lake Apartments staff.

An intercom and key card scanner are installed outside a door for a residence hall.

Parking
Sustainability House students who choose to bring a vehicle to campus can park in the parking spaces located next to the house.

Students will need to purchase a parking permit. There are limited spaces available at the Sustainability House.

There are individual mailboxes for each student living at the Sustainability House.

All bigger packages are left on the porch.
