Health, Exercise & Rehabilitative Sciences Student Opportunities

If you want to learn from professionals who are active in their field and enjoy a hands-on learning environment consider a Health, Exercise and Rehabilitative Sciences major.

Students Helping Students

Through HERS classes you will have the opportunity to access, direct and coach students through their wellness experience at WSU.

Service Learning

As a Health Promotion major you will have the opportunities to assist area businesses and corporations in developing, implementing, and assessing wellness programs.

Clinical Experience

Athletic Training majors apply knowledge learned in the classroom every day at high school, college, university, and hospital settings.

In addition to the general scholarships at WSU, students in the HERS programs can apply for many scholarships from the WSU Foundation.

Donate to Athletic Training Scholarships

Alumni and friends of the WSU Athletic Training program created a scholarship to honor an outstanding student within this program each year. We’re working toward expanding this scholarship fund to provide larger awards or multiple scholarships.

To help us with this effort, please fill out the donation form (PDF).

Student Clubs

There are several clubs that expand the education of HERS students outside of the classroom:

  • Athletic Training Club
  • Clinical Exercise Science Club
  • Facilitators of Recovery and Movement Enhancement (F.R.A.M.E.)
  • Health Organization for Promotion and Education (H.O.P.E.) Club
  • Movement Science Club
  • Public Health Club

View the student club directory to learn how to get involved.
