Why Study Advertising at Winona State?

There are so many different types of advertising today: from TV commercials, streaming app sponsors, and radio spots, to influencer marketing, email deals, physical mailers, and more.

Making sure you get the right messages in front of the right audiences can help companies save a lot of money and grow in popularity. Advertising also helps consumers solve problems and improve their quality of life.

With Winona State University’s Advertising minor, you will learn how to encourage people to consider new brands and ideas—or reinforce their current favorites—using engaging ad visuals and text.

This minor is meant for students who want to understand advertising foundations and offer a unique perspective to another program of study.

This program is available through WSU’s Mass Communication Department

$1,200 in Scholarships

available annually just for Advertising and Mass Communication students through the Foundation in addition to general WSU scholarships.
