Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies

Minor

PROGRAM SNAPSHOT

Pair any major with this minor to gain a better understanding of how issues of gender, race, class, ethnicity, and ability all intersect to influence social movements and our personal experiences. You’ll explore topics like LGBTQ+ activism, feminism, and creating social change.

Celebrating 30 Years

For 3 decades, Winona State’s WGSS program has combined classroom learning with real-world activism, requiring students to organize events that addresses issues like gender-based violence and LGBTQ+ rights.

This hands-on approach equips students to become leaders and advocates in their communities.
