Returning After a Leave of Absence

Welcome back to WSU! Follow these steps to complete the process for returning to campus and continuing your studies. 

Complete the Re-Enrollment Request Form

Complete a Undergraduate Re-Enrollment Request Form to re-enroll at WSU.

If you are returning following academic suspension you must also complete the Suspension Re-Entry Form and contact the Warrior Success Center. 

Apply for a New I-20

Submit the following to your My Warrior Life portal or email to WSU’s international student adviser at is@winona.edu:

  • A copy of the first page of your passport, which must be valid for at least 6 months into the future  
  • A bank statement that shows that you have sufficient funds to support your studies for one academic year  

Pay a New SEVIS Fee

You can pay the SEVIS fee after you receive your new I-20 because you need the new SEVIS number.

Apply for a New F-1 Visa

If your current visa has expired, you will need to complete a new F-1 visa application

Register for Classes

Register for class in Student Services. Your academic advisor is listed on your DARS. You can also contact Jodi Page at jodi.page@winona.edu for help.

You may need to reset your StarID password to access e-Services and WSU email.

Enter the U.S. & Activate your SEVIS Record

Check-in with Jodi Page to activate your SEVIS record. Please bring your passport, I-20, and new mailing address. 

Update Your Mailing Address

Use Student eServices to provide WSU with your new mailing address in the U.S. 

Get Your Laptop

Contact Tech Support at techsupport@winona.edu to see when returning students can make appointments to pick up their laptops.
